The girl on this Corvette is the NudeAutoMall's own Sunshine. Sunshine, pregnant mother of six, certainly a favorite Model here. The Corvette is from the NudeAutoMall's private collection, a 1969 Corvette with a 350 hp, 350 ci with all the right toys (a favorite prop here at the NudeAutoMall, girls seem to like it too).
1969 Corvette, The Sexiest Corvette Ever, Literally. Before 69, Corvettes already personified Power, Success, a Competitive Winner, and above all they had that Sex Appeal truly a Magnet to Women. In fact so much of a sex symbol was the Corvette that to date the 1969 Corvettes became the best selling Corvette ever, for that very reason. Fact is no American Sports Car currently being built was more of a sex symbol then the Corvette; coupled the number considered synonymous with sex: 69, all in the middle of the Sexual Revolution, how could the 69 Corvette be other then a huge success. Overwhelmingly Popular the implications were not lost on GM, indeed exploiting the opportunity by greatly delaying the release of the 1970 Corvette. Today the 69 Vette continues to be a Coveted Corvette rivaling even the rarest of the first Corvettes in value. Nothing Compares!!! 1969 was the second year of the body style which gave new meaning to "body" indeed complimenting the sensual curves and beauty of a naked woman. The 68 was truly a bit buggy, but all of that was worked out for 69, suspension improvements again approaching Corvettes biggest competitor, the Jaguar XKE, and choices of power plants that far rivaling that competition. Only the Mustang, and Barracuda approaching the Corvette in power, but their maneuverability was poor in comparison, and as four seaters both were left far behind in sales.
The peak of the Muscle Car Error the 69 Corvette sported many healthy porerplants the top of which was the monstrous 700 hp ZL1 factory listed at only 430hp, once dubbed the "Daytona Mystery Motor". A few years earlier when Penske snuck a couple prototypes to Sebring, A.J. Foyt, driving for Ford that race in a GT40 reportably said: "What's in that damn dinosaur? It went by me like I was stopped!". I'm sorry, speaking from experience I can tell you that you are not blowing away a GT40 with any mesally 430 hp. All Aluminum Big Block 427, a single Holley 850CFM four barrel carburetor, 12.5:1 compression, 4.251" piston with a 3.76" stroke, and a radical cam, all weighing in at closer to a Small Block in weight. A boys wet dream, and a good part as to why I own a 69 today. A day late and a dollar short I've missed that motor twice, but life's not over yet. Never has there been a more powerful production engine, and thanks to ineffective, fraudulent emission requirements, there may never be a stronger engine. [Please visit the NudeAutoMall Garage to see many truths about alternatives to pollution] But the power options of the 69 definitively put the lid on the patheticly insulting 6 Cylinder truck engined early Corvettes that gave American Sports Cars such a bad name.
With the introduction of the ZL1 the 1969 Corvette now met the 200 mph mark surpassing their biggest competitor the XKE by 40 mph, competitively agile in 63, Corvette now had only the price to overcome to beat their competitor. While it was still arguable that American Muscle Cars put out more power then they could control, the Corvette being no exception, power is what the market demanded. That ZL1 was the most powerful car ever factory built for production. Pricewise, the ZL1 nearly doubled the price of the already pricy Corvette indeed only 2 (arguably 3) were ever factory built (others were offered as Dealer Options, indeed I can remember my Uncle offering the option at only a bit over a thousand above the L88 sticker, as I'm sure other dealers did as well, but I doubt many of those achieved much more then the listed 430 hp). Regardless, Jaguar, with now only the agility argument was quickly becoming but the cheap European Sports Car forcing their premature release of their V12 (Jaguars experimental V12 was far superior to the V12 they released, and might have been a whole different wrote of history had they released that prototype rumored to have broke a 1000 hp). Bottom line, even at a higher price Corvette was now outselling the XKE's. Corvette had finaly captured the Sports Car Market.
