Hot Naked Chicks on that Hot Corvette
The girl on this Corvette is the NudeAutoMall's Tiger. Tiger has done a lot of modeling with us throughout the years, and is always a welcome attraction. The Corvette is a 69 Corvette with a 350 hp, 350 ci with all the right toys (a favorite prop here at the NudeAutoMall, girls seem to like it too).
Corvette, The true beginning of the American Muscle Car Era, or was it? Code named Opel, almost named Corvair, the Corvette was conceived in 1951 when Harley Earl took his Le Saber to race the European Sports Cars. Two years from thought to production, and drawing quite a crowd in the Show Car Circuit, looking to become a very popular hit, the Corvette was almost a production flop. The problem, an automatic transmission, and no power; a Sports Car with no Muscle. Who could take a Sports Car seriously that didn't have a stick shift. Harley Earl fought long and hard for his Sports Car, and he had the right ideal, but Chevrolet's "Practical Car" approach was not going to work, this was not a family car. Under the hood the Corvette was nothing special, a Chevy truck six cylinder engine with a two speed powerglide; amazingly Corvette's Engineers managed to get GM to allow them a three carburetor manifold. Year two found Dealers installing a Paxton Supercharger but the Corvette was still spiraling down to it's doom. It was Zora Arkus-Duntov who truly made the Corvette the Sports Car Harley Earl intended it to be. Zora Arkus-Duntov was the man to finally convince GM to put some real power in their Sports Car. In 1955 Corvette seen her first V8, and finally a manual transmission, sealing Corvette's fate as a milestone in Automotive History.

C1 Corvette 1953 to 1962. To group all the early Corvettes together is just wrong. The C1 Corvettes should be C1 and C2 by all rights, and probably a C3 as well. Gen 1 C1's are the Truck Engined Corvettes that would have been the end of the Corvette if it hadn't been for Duntov. Gen 1 C1's were beautiful Corvettes, arguably the first American Sports Car, a great treasure, but beyond argument different from Gen 2 C1's. Gen 2 C1's were a whole new design from body, to engine, to the transmission. The only thing the Gen 2 C1's had in common with the Gen 1 C1's was the name and the fact that they still had a fixed one piece drive axle. Gen 3 C1's would be out of respect for the birth of the point, the beginning of the aerodynamics that would soon define Corvette, although only the rear was pointed, it is a significant mile stone.

C2 Corvette 1963 to 1967. Again a whole new car. There could be no doubt, Chevy was gunning for Jaguars XKE. Aerodynamics were truly and fully embraced in the C2 Corvettes. Corvette added IRS (Independent Rear Suspension), that in itself showing that Chevy wanted to stay in the race with Corvette as a serious contender for the Sports Car market. Wider, lower, and again more power, while learning the ability to handle that power, Chevrolet was taking on the European Sports Car single handed if they had to, indeed no other American production car comes close (yes Ford built the GT-40, awesome, but I don't see many on the road, and yes there are many great limited production, or one off's, just not to the production level, or affordability of the Vette).

C3 Corvette 1968 to 1982. A new look. Corvette added a rear spoiler to help keep the rear end on the ground and gain traction, a problem more with the Camaro more than the Corvette. And again more power. Corvette along with her sister car the Camaro would share a badge, the ZL1, to deliver a serious amount of horse power in a light weight package to ribele with even the specialty Custom Hot Rods of the day. But as in all good things, there is an end; the same series Corvette would soon deliver the wimp as the EPA killed the Muscle Car. Production continued, but more in limbo, as what do you do with a Muscle Car, when the government takes the Muscle away? Indeed nastelja would keep the Corvette alive untill Chevrolet could figure a twist to their dilemma.

C5 Corvette 1997 to 2004. A rounder softer look, and a fresh breath of life. In the early 60's GM moved the transmission to the rear while keeping the engine forward in cars like the Pontiac Tempest. This same ideal applied to the mid engine Corvette gives new meaning to weight distribution and handling. Corvette just made another step up in the Sports Car League, one serious step.

Background image is a 1954 Corvette Prototype Sketch for 2151; the actual Prototype was never finished as the Corvette Line was to be discontinued. Ad background image is a 1966 Corvette named the Golden Girl for the Naked ladies painted in her gold paint job. An insult to the Corvette community, this 66 Corvette is powered by a Hemi. A very beautiful work of art none the less. Maybe I should buy her...
