And the Project begins. Bead Blasted, Air Sanded and finally Hand Sanded, edFox said he "didn't want any cheesy circular patterns", but that is only the skin. Here you see edFox happily holding his prize, the emblem of his VW. Looks like she's fresh back from the Media Blasters.
Custom
Customizations include, Porsche 356 headlight grills (pictured right), Microbus rods on windows (attached with velcro as to not have to drill any holes), and a custom front suspension. The front suspension is a rack n pinion, coil over custom deal that has been referred to as "the bionic suspension". It's adjustable to three different levels. "I didn't care what it was going to cost me to get a smooth comfortable ride" (the bionic suspension), says edFox. "It was well worth it."

Getting closer, The Bare Metal Bus is almost the Bus we all know. The seat color is not stock, but looks cool, a good match with the Bare Metal. The license plate edFox proclaims proudly, is the original. Also you might notice edFox having a little fun here... one windshield glass in, one headlight cover, one fog light, one directional signal. Might we say half done :)
