RRR The 3R's defined. The 3 R's are a strategy to end land fills, dumps, and off shore dumping, an end to waste. How profitable could life be if we had no waste? Recycling is a good thing but it is the last of the 3R's, the absolute last resort, because it requires the use of additional energy to produce a product that has already been produced. The 1st of the 3R's is to Reduce, this is to use less, waste less. For example, straiten more metal and use less plastic filler, or buy parts bulk packed, or just sticked instead of wrapped or even double wrapped, unless you have a use for the wrapping, like Henry Ford Reusing the shipping pallets for floorboards in his cars. The 2nd R is Reuse. One great example was as Henry Ford above, imagine the size of the landfill that one man stopped from happening, how many millions of pallets were reused. But on a smaller scale we make a difference too, all together we make an even bigger difference. Reuse can simply mean to repair and reuse. Reuse can mean to find a new use, the tire that becomes a flower planter. And reuse can equate giving that car we no longer want to someone in need. 3rd, Recycle. Recycling is the destruction of an item, breaking it down to it's base elements to be used like the raw ores of this Earth to make something new, however Recycling should be only done when something is beyond repair and in no way Reusable in any form by yourself or anyone on the planet. Recycling still uses all the energy required to recover and produce something from raw ore. Recycling only aids in ending the further destruction of Nature necessary to get at the raw ores. Good cars, for example, should never be Recycled, help save the Earth, make that junk car into a Hot Rod, or give it to someone who will, or to someone in need. A Good Deed can help another, and help Mother Nature.
